The Landes resort also attracts families in search of a quiet swim. Very popular with summer visitors, the Plage Centrale is protected from the ocean swell. It stretches from the casino to Plage du Prévent. Here you’ll find beach clubs for children and numerous shops and restaurants on the seafront.

Capbreton’s famous estacade

A symbol of the town, Capbreton’s Estacade is one of the most photographed monuments in the Landes region. Built under Napoleon III 150 years ago, the famous wooden jetty juts out into the ocean for almost 200 meters, offering an unparalleled view of Capbreton’s harbor and beaches. It’s a popular spot for strollers and anglers alike, who meet at the end of the pier.
